Revlon has a history of producing good foundations, I’ve been a fan of the Revlon Colorstay for sometime. I was really eager to try Revlon’s new Photoready Airbrush Effect Foundation.  It promises light filtering technology and soft focused pigments that give your skin a smooth, airbrushed finish.

The foundation comes in a glass bottle with a pump dispenser which was very easy to use and 1-2 pumps is enough for the full face. I use my fingers to apply it because it blends in so easily into the skin.  Its a very nice light formula.  You could also use a brush or beauty blender if you prefer.

The foundation provides  medium coverage but what was interesting is how lightweight it feels on.

I didn’t feel like I was wearing anything at all, and the first thing I noticed about the foundation is how it blended into the skin beautifully.

The foundation has an obvious radiance to it, which is nice for normal to dry skin but if you have oily skin you will need a powder on top.  With powder the radiance of the foundation isn’t as obvious.  Also, without a powder the foundation doesn’t last as long, I needed to touch up after a few hours.  But if you set it with a powder the foundation will give you longer lasting results without a need to touch up.

I like that the foundation is oil-free, fragrance free and has SPF 20. I think it’s great for everyday, it provides a nice natural coverage.  I really liked the finish, texture and coverage of the foundation.  The best part is how it feels on the skin…like real skin! It comes in 11 shades,

I used 002 Vanilla (I’m an NC25 from MAC as a reference).

I have used photo finish for years. I tried the airbrush effect, It was awful. Pasty, uneven, rubs off on my clothes because it seems it never dries. I contacted them with my concerns but the sent me a complimentary bottle of another one of their foundations. I’m a faithful Revlon woman, so I’m still trying other Revlon foundations, but I wish they would bring back the photo finish.
