I posted a short video clip of Braun’s epilator on my instagram (@nilohaq) and I’ve never gotten so many messages and questions on a product before! You guys asked for a review so here it is:

Braun has just launched the world’s first 2-in-1 facial device.  It has two main functions a face epilator and cleansing brush in one! It’s really a genius product with a lot of thought put behind it.

Epilator Review

I’ve never been a girl who epilates, I think I was just scared that it would be painful.  I started off with bleaching my face when I was younger, moved on to treading, then waxing and just this past year I got laser hair removal done. I’ve always been a hairy girl (can’t believe I’m publicly admitting this) but yes so I still do have some facial hair so the Braun epilator has been a huge relief in my life. I wish it was invented earlier!

I love how I can do it myself, it’s so easy.  You can use it all over the face, around the eyebrows, upper lip, chin pretty much anywhere.  It’s precise and removes even the tiny hair quickly.  The epilator works 200 times quicker then tweezing yourself! It can also remove hair 4 times shorter than waxing so your skin can be smoother longer and you can avoid those ‘in between fuzzy hair times’.  It’s best to remove the hair in the opposite direction of the growth and the device has two rotation settings: clockwise and anti-clockwise.

The epilator is literally fool proof and removes even the baby hair.  You can even get into small areas like in-between the brows with zero hassle and without worrying that you’ll remove hair from your brows or lashes! The first time I used it my skin was a bit red, but it felt smoother then ever! I was literally shocked to find that it has the same result as laser hair removal.  Since I’ve been using it more often my skin’s getting used to it and it doesn’t get red anymore.

Does it Hurt?

I think the burning question is does it hurt?  I expected it to kill…but it doesn’t.  Any hair removal  hurts a bit, but you get used it after a while. Braun Face is not painless, but it doesn’t really hurt.  And I find the more I use it the less I even notice it removing my hair.  It’s so quick and over before you even know it.

Cleansing Brush

So the second function of the Braun Face is a cleansing brush.  The bristles on the brush are soooo soft and fine.  Great for deep cleaning – it actually cleans your skin 6x better then using your fingers alone.  I’ve been an advocate of cleansing brushes since I tried the Clarisonic and it truly truly makes a difference.  You may initially break out a bit but that’s only because its cleaning out your skin.  Dermatologists actually recommend cleansing brushes for acne prone skin.

There is a noticeable difference from using fingers to a cleansing brush.  If I don’t use a cleansing brush to clean my face, I don’t feel like my skin is clean anymore…fingers just don’t do the same job.  I like the Braun Face cleansing head, its softer then the other brands I’ve tired.  I also like that the brush helps to exfoliate dead skin off and seriously my skin has never looked better then it does today.  Just like the epilator you can change the rotation of the brush head and it’s really easy to switch from the epilating head to the cleansing brush head…just pop it off and stick the next head on.

Final Thoughts

Braun Face is IMPRESSIVE.  I don’t think anyone will not like this product, it delivers.  It comes with the device which is basically bigger then a mascara but smaller then a tooth brush (so you can carry it anywhere and store it very easily).  You can use it wet or dry: its waterproof, so you can even use it in the shower (they thought of everything didn’t they!) It also comes with a vibrating brush head (like the Clarisonic), a mini cleaning brush to keep the epilating head clean, a magnifying mirror with a led light (it’s so cool), a cap to protect the epilating head and a cute pouch to keep everything together.  The device is approved by dermatologists for use on sensitive skin as well.

I recommend this product for everyone, it’s better then waxing, threading and bleaching.  Smooth and long lasting results!

Available at Extra, Pharmacies and Braun retailers.

You can start using anti-aging products from your early to mid 20’s. Make sure you eat well, take vitamins and drink lots of water as well.

I actaully find it easier to replace batteries then to charge it. I have the clarisonic as well and find it annoying that I have to recharge it when the battery finishes. I’d much rather replace batteries and have it immediately ready to use. 🙂
