5 Things Jeddah-wis LOVE!

By

# 1 The JEDDAH Sun

Jeddah sun is crazy hot, I agree. But we still love it, don’t we? More than that, we love to complain. The good thing for us is that we can escape the humidity by quickly running into our coolly conditioned cars or houses. Regardless, sunshine is a big blessing for us, and when a lot of us travel off to cooler places, we really really miss the Jeddah sun.

# 2 The JEDDAH peace

I don’t know how to explain it exactly, but there’s this peace that you find amongst the traffic jams, the humidity – it’s inexplicable, but when you’re in Jeddah, you tend to get very absorbed into the almost nice, static feeling of being present in the moment.

# 3 The Abaya

I know, I know, it’s just another layer of black cloth and it makes us feel hotter, but don’t you just love those times where you’re in your PJs, or totally inappropriately dressed to go out, and then your eyes find that shiny, black dress-like Abaya that you can quickly just put on top and look dressed up? I sure do!

# 4 JEDDAH Food

I don’t mean www.jeddahfood.com, but even that – how great is it to have practically every eating place on one website? & what does that show you, that we have SO many places to eat, and they’re all really, really good! With all the expatriates and different cultures that make the city of Jeddah, each one of us gets the opportunity to feast on each cultures’ delicious cuisines!

My absolutely favourite thing to eat currently: The Tomato Basil Soup from Uptown 966!

# 5 Corniche!

Especially with all the new changes they’ve made to the beach, it’s really nice to go there when the weather is slightly cooler in the evenings for a BBQ or something.

We’re all really blessed to live in such a beautiful city, don’t you think? What are your favourite things about Jeddah? xx
