7 Sneaky Ways for you to Drink More Water

By

You know you’re supposed to have at least 2 liters of water a day, yet you still find yourself struggling to keep up with it? You’re not alone, I suffer from the same problem, and I know tons of other people with us. The fact is that water has too many benefits that we deprive our bodies of when we don’t go the extra effort to drink enough. Here’s a few tips that I stumbled across to help us drink more of it through the day.

1. FLAVOR IT

A friend of mine recently brought a glass water bottle with slices of lemons in it. It looked really appetizing, to be very honest and upon researching I found out that there are a ton of benefits! You get to drain those nutrients and also add flavor to your very mundane drink. Slice up anything you can reach: lemons, oranges, strawberries; surprise yourself!

2. TRACK IT

Keep a notebook, or well who am I kidding, open up a sticky note on your laptop and mark how many glasses of water you drink as you go. It’ll help you remember and also whenever you see it, you’ll know how many more you need to drink through the day!

3. WAKE UP ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BED

Keep a glass or two on your bedside table and drink up when you wake up and also before you go to sleep.

4. APP IT OFF

Use apps on your phones and especially the one that’s called a reminder. Alert yourself through various times of the day, but actually pay heed to it.

5. MAKE AN INVESTMENT

Whether you fancy shiny, glass transparent ones, or a pink plastic tumbler from Starbucks, invest into a nice container for your water.

6. RESPOND TO HUNGER…

…With water first. Tons of times our body is dehydrated when it’s sending us hunger signals so drink water first, then food after.

7. SAY NO!

Whenever you’re offered anything else to drink, especially when it’s carbonated, exercise your head from right to left to say no and drink water instead. You will definitely not regret it.
