8 Perfect Makeup Inspirations for New Years

New Years is a fun time to celebrate and get dolled up!  Nothing is too much for a New Years makeup look – sparkles, gloss, statement lips or smoky eyes…anything and everything is game!  To get you inspired this New Years, I put together some makeup look inspirations. Let me know if you have any questions in the comment box below, would love to give some product recommendations.

Do it like Kylie

Seems like 2014 has been the year of Kylie Lips. Everyone has been talking about her makeup looks! I love this look from her instagram account for Christmas where she did a brown smokey eye, slightly tanned skin with a bronzer and a brown over-lined lippy.  Don’t forget a nice set of dramatic lashes.

Classic Red Lips

Take inspiration from Kendall Jenner’s Christmas look as well.  Love the classic statement red matte lips (you can never really go wrong with red lips) and a cut crease brown smoky eye.  The lips remain the main focus of her look with no color on her cheeks besides bronzer. Her look remains clean because there is no eyeliner or false lashes.  Her brows are strong and defined adding to the crispness of her overall look.

Try Brown!

I never thought I’d be saying this but brown lips are back.  Change up a typical hot pink or red lip with a strong matte brown lip color.  Pair it with neutral bronzer and nude eyes.  This look requires false lashes so make sure to wear them with lots of mascara top and bottom lash.

Soft & Smoky

Huda’s soft signature smoky eyes with nude lips is always a winner.  Sweep on a bit of black shadow all over the base of the eye with brown shadow along the crease to blend out the black. Lashes are the statement of this look so make sure they are long and dramatic.  Liner should be soft and smudged out top and bottom eye. Finish the look with a nude or pink lip color.  Try rubbing in the lip color with your fingers so that it sits closer to the lips and looks more natural.

Add Some Sparkle

I love this look from Blogger Irene Sarah.  She paired an exaggerated cat eyeliner with a line of gold sparkle liner on top.  The eyeliner is the statement of this look, so keep everything else warm and soft with bronzer and a nude lip color.

Say YES to Vampy!

Vampy lips look ultra sexy.  Get out of your comfort zone and wear a very natural makeup look with a strong purple, plum or deep wine lip shade.  Make sure to overdraw the lipliner slightly for a little more jazz.

Pops of Color

Take inspiration from this makeup look from Samer Khouzami.  Add a pop of color to any eyemakeup look on the bottom of the eye.  Add something different like purple or green with a black smoky eye on the top eye.  Lips can be natural or a statement lip color of choice.
