The Show Inspiration: The embodiment of a modern and sophisticated spirit. Reflecting this elegant sensibility, the use of proportion and line further evolved this season with focused detail within each design and a 360 degree application of curves, pleats, intarsia, ruffles and cut outs. Silhouettes were long and lean but remained fluid.

Pat’s Get the Look: Backstage at Victoria Beckham AW14 show, Pat McGrath, Max Factor Global Creative Design Director revealed her cool interpretation of modern day glamor with a contemporary nude beauty look that truly embodied the modern and sophisticated spirit of the collection. “Victoria wanted the girls to stay looking very natural, almost as themselves but to enhance their beauty with simple touches of make-up. This included important details such as adding extra luminosity to the skin and subtly lifting the lashes – it’s all about natural glamor that’s so modern and relevant to today.”

In preparation of the bright lights and camera flashes,Pat kick-started the ‘modern nude’ makeup look by massaging ultra-dewy, hydrating moisturizers into the models skin in circular motionsNext she blended NEW Skin Luminizer Foundation on top, using her fingertips to deliver a flawless, radiant skin finish that almost looked lit from within. “The foundation contains subtle skin luminizers to give the appearance of an instantly enhanced, glowing complexion – making it perfect for this show’, says Pat.Once perfected, she used tissue to rub off excess foundation from the cheeks only, to unveil the model’s own soft but subtle skin glow. Lastly, she applied a touch of Masterpiece Colour Precision Eye Shadow in Pearl Beige, to the cheek bones and cupid’s bow to give a highlighting effect.

Next, eyes were brightened by applying NEW Eye Luminizer Concealer under the eyes to remove any dark circles, and lids were enhanced using a wash of brown toned shadow to add extratonal dimension. Apply Masterpiece Colour Precision Eye Shadow in Coffee on the lids and blend into the crease and then add a touch of Lipfinity Lip Colour topcoat on top of the eyeshadow for a subtle sheen.Subtly lifted lashes gave the essential finishing touch to the eyes. Pat used NEW Max Factor Masterpiece Transform Mascara on the roots only; “Applying mascara to the roots alone gives extra definition to the lash line”,she says.

To finish the ‘modern nude’ beauty look, Pat applied aslick of clear balm to the lips and brows were lightly groomed to perfection.
