DIOR Spring Summer ’16 Makeup Forecast By Peter Philips
Complexion
Complexions looked light, delicate and even. As Peter Philips explains, “I blended Diorskin Star fluid foundation into the skin for luminous coverage.” He continues, saying “I added extra radiance using the Diorskin Nude n°001 Glowing Gardens Glowing Pink palette, applied as a light veil across the parts of the face that catch the light, especially the cheekbones.” Finally, he specifies that he “chose the subtle softness of Diorblush n°844 Glowing Gardens Floral Pink,” delicately applied.
Eyes
Peter Philips created “a delicate pastel look using the pink heart of the 5 Couleurs n°451 Glowing Gardens palette.” He explains that he “applied the eye shadow really lightly, with a cloud of colour on the upper eyelid, that was blended very slightly toward the brow bone.” He adds, “for a more intense look, I applied a greyish rosewood eye liner along the lash line using Diorshow Colour and Contour n°757 Orchid, which I then blended for a soft, ethereal look.” Lastly, “to emphasize the pure aspect of the look, eyelashes were just curled, and brows were gently accentuated with the Sourcils Poudre brow pencil and tamed with Diorshow Brow Styler.”
Lips
“Lips were soft, first hydrated using Dior Addict Lip Glow n°001 Pommade, then heightened with Dior Addict Lipstick n°266 Delight, a fresh and radiant pink that added a pretty, natural shine.”
Nails
“Nails looked discreet and played with colour in a range of Dior Vernis delicate pastel shades, n°491 Lilac, n°302 Garden, n°301 Bleuette and n°650 Pivoine.”
Hair
Styled by Guido Palau, hair was parted off-centre and gathered into a low, fluid ponytail. Sections of hair were looped back at the sides, caressing the cheeks and framing the face. A touch of sophistication was added by a ribbon choker woven sensually into the hairstyle.
