How to Rejuvenate Sun Damaged Skin


Sunburn is a burn to living tissue, such as skin. It is produced due to overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, which comes from the sun’s rays. Common symptom of sunburn is red or reddish skin that is hot to the touch. An excess of UV radiation can be damage the skin to extreme cases. Exposure of the skin to lesser amounts of UV radiation can also produce a suntan.
Although light of the sun is necessary for good health, but too much sun exposure can significantly damage human skin. The sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation can cause burning and long permanent changes in the skin’s structure.


1. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is good to create a cooling effect on skin; when it is applied on skin,it forms a thin protective layer, moisturizing the dry skin. You can split an aloe Vera leaf open and apply directly to your sun damaged parts for 10 to 15 minutes.


2. Apple Cider Vinegar

Applying Apple vinegar is a great way to help soothe the sunburn. All you need is, take a vinegar bath. Add 2 cups of apple cider vinegar to your bath water. This would immediately help to reduce pain and help rejuvenate sun damaged skin.


3. Baking Soda

Baking soda has proven to balance skin’s natural PH. Adding baking soda in bath water will help protect skin and reduce the burning sensation. Add 1/4 cup baking soda to Luke warm water, soak for 15 minutes, and do not rinse.


4. Milk and Honey

Milk and Honey are one of the best remedies for sunburns. To make use of Milk and Honey for your skin, mix a 1/2 cup milk with 1 tbsp honey, apply directly to sun affected area and cover the skin with a warm washcloth for 20 minutes.


5. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is also a great product to rejuvenate sun damaged sensitive and dry skin types.
