Kirsten Dunst Intl Spokesperson For L’Oreal Professionnel
By
L’Oréal Professionnel is pleased to announce that Kirsten Dunst, awarded Best Actress at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival for her astonishing performance in Melancholia and lead actress of the next Hossein Amini’s thriller The Two Faces of January, to be released in 2014, is the very first L’Oréal Professionnel spokesperson and will embody the upcoming strategic launches Wild Stylers from Tecni.Art, Beach Waves and Absolut Repair Lipidium.
Born in New Jersey, USA, but of German origin, Kirsten Dunst has a natural beauty and a unique spirit. She is one of the most talented young American actresses of her generation and she perfectly embodies the values of L’Oréal Professionnel. Her passion for fashion and trends means that she is constantly playing with her style. When taking on a new movie role, Kirsten Dunst is always keen to radically change her hair color, from reddish tones to bright blonds, from a smooth sophisticated look to a wilder, unruly style, to best prepare for the part.

Kirsten Dunst’s filmography includes over 50 films, which makes her one of the most prolific actresses of this last two decades. Curious about what life has to offer, Kirsten has a high level of thoroughness, which enables her to choose her roles, from major cinematic productions to boundary-breaking independent films.
Kirsten Dunst started her career at a very young age following her breakthrough Golden Globe-nominated role in Interview with the Vampire, where she played a graceful, china-doll face vampire who steals the long-dead heart of Brad Pitt’s character. Her performances in Spider-Man trilogy as Mary Jane Watson are some of the most successful milestones of her career, generating very positive reviews. Many critics praised her ability to morph herself into the character and make a real and rarely-seen connection with her on-screen partner, Tobey Maguire.
As Sofia Coppola’s muse, Dunst portrayed Marie Antoinette in 2000, a charming theatrical drama and stylish performance that took her career further. But Dunst was singled out for great praise playing a depressed woman at the end of the world in Lars von Trier’s Melancholia, a role like no other. The film was positively received by critics and Dunst was awarded Best Actress at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.

2014 will mark the release of Hossein Amini’s latest thriller, The Two Faces of January, also starring Viggo Mortensen and Oscar Isaac. In January, Kirsten Dunst will start filming Jeff Nichols’ next science fiction movie, Midnight Special, in which she will play a lead role next to Joel Edgerton and Michael Shannon.
“I feel very close to L’Oréal Professionnel. Her great professionalism and commitment to excellence make Kirsten one of the talented actresses I have ever met. She has the perfect attributes to embody the new values of L’Oréal Professionnel.” says Anne-Laure Lecerf, International Managing Director of L’Oréal Professionnel.
