Why Chewfood when you can… DRINK JUICE!?

Some could just follow the trend, some to lose weight.. But what is the TRUTH behind this new obsession?

Most people don’t eat nearly their daily requirement of fruits and vegetables, and both juices and smoothies are great ways to give your body what it needs to function properly and keep you healthy.  Could you possibly imagine how long it could take you to eat all the fruits and vegetables you would probably need to juice in one cup, physically its somewhat impossible. By juicing it you get all of those nutrients in one quick easily digestible rush!

When consuming fruits and vegetables, in a cup, it takes your body 15 minutes to absorb about 95% of the nutrients just from that glass of pure juice! Alternatively, it takes between 5 to 8 hours for your body to absorb most of those nutrients from solid food sources.

An important factor to look into..  Is making enough juice to last through the day, good or bad idea?

Somewhat bad, drinking your juice immediately is the smartest thing to do because the more you leave it the more air comes into contact with the juice, which then causes it to oxidize and lose lots of its nutritional value.  But if you really must, Then the best thing to do is keep it in an airtight dark container and fill it all the way to the top so it contains as little air as possible. A little bit of lemon could help prevent oxidization as well.
